As an MNU Certified Nutritionist, you will not be able to advise on medical issues to any great extent. As we discuss in some of our lectures, working with certain clinical populations can be very difficult, and often it’s much more ethical for a client to spend their time & money on seeking specialist support from clinicians/dietitians.

MNU will give you a good understanding of the nutritional science and practical skills required to support clients with specialist clinical conditions, and how to liaise with other medical professionals to give the client the safest and most effective support possible; which also means knowing when to refer out to specialists.

If you would like to discuss referring a client on or need advice on who to refer them to, please do ask the Mac-Nutrition Mentoring Lab Community group.
