How is the course assessed?

MNU consists of both formative and summative assessments.

The final summative assessments consists of three online exams, which are all open-book! These include multiple-choice, short answer, and case study style questions.

Your final grade is only based on your summative assessments at the end of the course; successful completion of the final exams means you will qualify as an MNU Certified Nutritionist, be able to use the post-nominals (MN.Nutr) after your name, gain the Level 5 Diploma in Advanced Nutrition Science as well as be eligible to gain insurance to practice as such*.

To consolidate and assess your knowledge throughout the course, there’s a variety of formative assessments to complete, including some compulsory end of lecture & end of module tests, and some optional homework tasks. There is also lots of opportunity for (optional) further learning throughout the course via additional reading, podcasts and content delivered within the Mac-Nutrition Mentoring Lab.
