For peronal trainers looking to give personalised diet advice to their clients, you need a regulated evidence-based nutrition qualification that allows them to work as a Nutritionist as well as being eligible for insurance to practise. Regulated by OfQual, the diploma awards the MN.Nutr post-nominal and the title MNU Certified Nutritionist, which is recognised credentials that go well beyond a standard peronsal trainer nutrition add-on.

MNU Certified Nutritionists are fully qualified and insured to implement full nutrition interventions including the use of meal plans and appropriate evidence-based supplementation to help individuals with their health, aesthetic or performance based goals.

Upon graduating from MNU, you would also be eligible for our bespoke insurance policies, which covers personal trainers to provide nutrition consultancy, assess clients’ food and nutrient intake, address their health and fitness goals and subsequently design personalised nutrition interventions, including the use of meal plans, and where necessary, recommending safe, natural supplements.

The diploma covers evidence-based nutrition for health, performance and body composition which is everything a personal trainer’s clients are likely to need. It does not extend to clinical or medical nutrition therapy, which is the domain of registered dietitians.

Therefore, personal trainers can maximise their earning potential and client base by offering nutritional services alongside their current business. MNU could help personal trainers to reach more people, get better results with a wider variety of clients, and ultimately, earn more!
